Carolynn Johnson (Council President)
Carolynn Johnson has served as Council Vice-President since 2018. She serves on the Executive Board of the North Hills Council of Governments and is the liaison to the Hampton Community Library’s Board of Trustees. Carolynn is seeking reelection to continue advocating for citizen-centered government and community connectedness.
Carolynn holds a doctorate in cognitive psychology and leads user-centered design for a local product development firm. Her work focuses on ensuring that people can safely and effectively use complex equipment, and she has spent a decade professionally advocating for user-friendly healthcare technology. Carolynn chairs the Steering Committee for the Township’s Implementable Comprehensive Plan, which extensively engaged Hampton citizens and business owners, and contributed to the redesign of the Township’s website to improve its ease of use. Carolynn has volunteered in Hampton schools, where she has a high-school age daughter, and as a life-long Girl Scout and Gold Award recipient, she is actively involved in her daughter’s troop.

Bethany H. Blackburn (Council Vice-President)
Bethany H. Blackburn has served on Hampton Township Council since January 2018. She is the Vice-Chair on the Shaler-Hampton EMS Board of Directors and is the liaison to the Depreciation Lands Museum. Bethany is seeking reelection to continue creating a first-rate community while being a good steward of our financial resources.
Bethany has a BA in economics from Smith College and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. She served in the Peace Corps and worked for several years as a municipal budget analyst. She is now the CEO of the North Side Christian Health Center. Her career in healthcare also includes management of the Center for Care of Infectious Diseases at UPMC Presbyterian and oversight of multiple specialties at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Bethany leads two Girl Scout troops and is a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Jason, have three children, who all attend Hampton public schools. They are proud to call Hampton their home.

Julie Fritsch
Julie Fritsch currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Hampton Township Zoning Hearing Board. Julie is running to improve our community, our partnerships, and attract new businesses, while maintaining fiscal integrity. Julie is the founder of Fritsch Law LLC and holds a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Her practice focuses on workers’ compensation, personal injury, veterans’ and social security disability, wills, and estate administration. Julie is excited to apply her legal background in service of the Hampton community.
Julie is actively involved in the Hampton community as Vice President - Fundraising for the Hampton Athletic Association and Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Hampton Alliance for Educational Excellence. Julie’s husband, Jason, is a CPA and he owns a business in Hampton. They have two daughters who attend Hampton public schools.
