Congratulations!
You want to make your voice heard in one of the most pivotal elections in modern history? Since many voters between the ages of 18 and 25 are attending college or working away from their permanent address on election day, your voting decisions and steps can be more complex. The Hampton Democratic Committee is here to help! Use the resources below to develop your voting plan so your voice is heard on November 5th!
Make a Plan to Vote
o If you attend school or work in a state that regularly votes RED or BLUE, we encourage you to vote by mail using your permanent Pennsylvania address. This will help deliver Pennsylvania to the Harris/Walz ticket!
o If you can vote in-person in Pennsylvania or another swing state and you prefer to cast your vote in-person, make sure to register to vote in that state/municipality. In Pennsylvania, the deadline to register to vote for this election cycle is October 21, 2024.
o If you prefer to vote by mail, request your mail in ballot as soon as possible. The last day to request a mail-in ballot is October 29th, but do not wait until the last minute! It can be difficult to turn around your ballot quickly and you can risk your vote won’t count.

Make a Plan to Vote
You can vote at:
o A permanent address (such as your parent’s home) OR
o A temporary address (such as a college dorm, apartment, or coop housing)
Your first question to answer is “Should I vote where I attend school/work or should I vote from my permanent address?”. This may seem like a simple question, but because this is a presidential election year and we elect our president via the electoral college, your vote can have more impact in a swing state like Pennsylvania than in a deeply RED or BLUE state.
