Council Candidates
Township of Hampton Council
PETE CATONECANDIDATE FOR COUNCILPete will be a great addition to Council because his family is deeply integrated into the local community and will bring the same sensible leadership to Hampton that he’s shown in his professional career and family life. Pete is now the manager of digital sales for PolyConcept North America, where he helps businesses, schools, teams, and other organizations market themselves through promotional products. Pete’s wife, Allison, teaches 2nd grade at Quaker Valley and both of their kids, Sophia and Peter, attended Poff Elementary and are now at Hampton Middle School. In addition to coaching and supporting his kids’ involvement in school sports, Pete served on the board of HAEE and has helped organize the 5k race for three years and was a supporter and cheerleader for the Hampton Township School District Administration. Like most Hampton residents, the Catone family loves the amazing Hampton community. Pete's experience and leadership will keep us strong into the future.

ROCK KERNICKCANDIDATE FOR COUNCILWith the dual challenges of our future new manager in 2024 and the ongoing sewage treatment plant construction, Rock's re-election will help provide continuity and experience on council. A Pittsburgh native, Rock’s only time away from his hometown was spent in architecture schools in Chicago and London. Although he’s worked on university buildings all over the country, he spent his later years becoming a specialist in large corporate campuses, tenant fit-outs, and church projects. He invested nearly two decades in Scouting, he never missed a camping trip with his boys and, after each earned their Eagle, he stayed involved to train future adult leaders. He’s currently semi-retired from architecture, and spends most of his time as an activist and local organizer, is a member of Hampton Rotary, and lives near Wyland School with his wife, Linda, a nurse who recently began a new job in oncology research. Both of their sons are proud Hampton graduates and with scouting careers spent in Troop 17.
